Morris Meiningens
Performing Arts Collective 

The organization currently known as the Morris Meiningens Performing Arts Collective is the longest living student organization at the University of Minnesota Morris, almost being around since the very beginning of the school itself. It has gone through many phases of life, and has operated in many different capacities, but the through line is that it has always aimed to provide a place for students to share their love of the various types of theatrical performance. I have been privileged enough to serve as co-chair on this organization in both my junior and senior years of college, and during that time have lead the organization in weekly club meetings, helped run meetings for the executive board, facilitate fun theatre based events, aided in the production of the organization's annual student produced show, and have overseen the transition and evolution of the organization from Morris Meiningens Student Theatre, to the Performing Arts Collective that it has now become. This has involved another student organization joining Meiningens, and myself and colleagues reworking the structure, government, and constitution of the club as to make a larger umbrella organization with the hope of doing more than ever before and reaching even more students.
