Michael's Bio
Michael Oberton is a practicing actor and theatre artist currently based out of Morris, Minnesota. He is currently in the final year of his undergraduate degree of Theatre Arts at the University of Minnesota Morris where he is an extremely active member of the university's theatre community, acting in many productions, leading as a co-chair of the student theatre organization, and aiding in many other facets of the vibrant community there.
Get To Know Me
Hello, my name is Michael Oberton! I was born and brought up in the Little Falls area of Central Minnesota, and am now based out of Morris, Minnesota. I currently attend the university here (UMM), perusing a BA degree in Theatre Arts. Currently in my fourth year at UMM, I have spent my time in the community excitedly learning all about the numerous aspects of the art.

I fell in love with the art of storytelling at a very young age, and throughout my time growing in this love I have found a beauty in the many forms its flourishes through within theatre! My passion for storytelling has only grown with time, starting at the earliest as I was a young child hearing story books read aloud to me, and having grown to passion for acting, voice work, music, and improvisation! Holding immense importance in both my personal and professional life, its growth is far from complete. My degree, with a specific focus in performance, has had an all encompassing scope of well rounded education in theatre, and beyond that I have lived, learned, and studied aspects of many other forms of storytelling such as through music and voice. I am now incredibly excited to put my growing knowledge and experience to use in the field, and bring more fantastic stories to life!
