Almost, Maine

Almost, Maine was put on by the Morris Meiningens Student Theatre Organization during the winter of 2022 as a part of the organization's Evening of One-Acts. As part of the annual organization production, it was directed, produced, designed, and acted all by students of the university. In this portion of the night, I played two different characters from the play. Firstly, a country man who after years of failed dating attempts has finally realized his feelings for his best buddy Randy, and secondly a younger and extremely awkward guy who doesn't quite know how to confess his feelings to his less than eager coworker. While maintaining a through-line of love, both characters were very different, and by the end of the show when I fully stripped down to my long johns out of over a half dozen layers on stage, I felt incredibly accomplished.
